Krista Perry’s debut gallery show, lovingly named BUBBLEGUM, is a celebration of her playful and vibrant work spanning nearly 10 years in the illustration industry. BUBBLEGUM features a collection of large new works along with many of the artist’s past personal paintings, sketchbook pages, and licensed illustrations; many of which have never been shown in person before.
Krista loves F-U-N! She believes in hard work and hard play and will NEVER turn down a good meatball sub. She loves to make art with a sense of humor and is inspired by bright colors, nostalgia, vintage ephemera, and ham.
Additionally, artist and printmaker Helen Popinchalk will be doing an installation for The Bathtub Projects.
The work exhibited in Blue Triangle’s Bathtub Projects combines screen printing, gelatin printing, drawing and collage in bright compositions and color studies that explore bioluminescence and are inspired by the way that bees and pollinators see the world. These mixed media pieces fluoresce in blacklight and are designed to change and shift in different colored light.

Join us at the Blue Triangle Gallery in Boston's Chinatown for "POSER," a wild exhibition by artist Joe Banda. This show explores the feeling of not quite fitting into the groups we admire. The show includes a striking collection of paintings on helmets and motorcycle parts—objects Joe finds cool yet doesn’t identify with—he reflects on the tension between appreciation and belonging. A graduate of Delaware College of Art and Design and Montserrat College of Art, Joe channels his daily creative practice into works that draw from a rich tapestry of influences, including folk art, skateboarding, independent music, and the love for his family. Discover how Joe's unique perspective challenges the boundaries of identity and inspiration in this captivating show.
In addition to Joe Banda’s vibrant works, The Bathtub Project features the dynamic duo of tattoo artist Tallboy and collage artist Krusty Jane, a creative power couple!

Hell is a garden in bloom. The future is an invasive species with its roots burrowed deep into the present. Containing its spread may be an impossibility, but we can harvest its flowers as they bloom, dissect them, display them, repurpose them. This show is a dialog about curiosity that blossoms in the face of existential impotence, snapshots of realities both confined by perception, and set free by imagination.
Hell is a Garden in Bloom features new works by Somer Stampley and T.J. Oslund with Matthew Bonneau as our guest artist for Bathtub Projects.

The gallery’s second show, titled OURS. opens on September 15th, and features prettycoolstrangers, an AuDHD (autistic/ ADHD) self-taught digital artist. They started designing as a pandemic hobby, and started posting their work to instagram in February of 2021. The evolution of their unique, vibrant, bold, and nostalgic designs— focused on typography and texture, and shifting wildly between style and subject matter— have earned them a sizable following across multiple social media platforms. They have since been able to turn to art as a full-time career. On display will be works inspired by music, film, vintage automobiles, and self-growth/spirituality (with a touch of humor).
The show will also feature works by Nervous Wreck Collective as part of on-going experiment, Bathtub Projects. Nervous Wreck Collective designs and illustrates the 2023 equivalent of AOL instant-messanger away messages.
